The Foolish Lion

Once a lion lived in a forest. He had sharp teeth and claws. Everyone was afraid of him.

A woodcutter lived with his daughter, Geeta, in a small hut by the edge of the forest.

One day, the lion saw Geeta. He was fascinated by her beauty and wished to make her his wife.

So, the lion went to the woodcutter's hut and roared, "O Woodcutter! Marry your daughter to me or else I'll kill both of you."

The woodcutter made a plan in his mind and said, "I have to ask my daughter." He went into the hut and came back in few minutes. Then he said, "Geeta is scared of your sharp teeth and claws." She said, "If the lion cuts them off, I will become his wife.

" So, the lion got his teeth and claws removed.

Now, he was no longer powerful. The woodcutter was not afraid of him anymore. He began to beat the lion with a stick. Thus, the lion ran away to save his life.
